Quick answer
If Conquer won't start: unzip fully to a short folder, install Visual C++ (x86) and .NET 4.8, add an antivirus exception for the game folder, and start from Play Dark Conquer.bat. For full screen, tick Fullscreen in ConquerLoader's Settings.
The game won't open
- Make sure you unzipped everything and are not running it from inside the zip.
- Use a short path with English letters, such as C:\Games\DarkConquer.
- Install the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (x86) and .NET Framework 4.8.
- Your antivirus may delete or block CLHook.dll: add an exception for the folder and restore the file.
- Always start from Play Dark Conquer.bat.
Screen, full screen and shadows
- Full screen: tick Fullscreen in ConquerLoader's Settings. The game shows centered at its real size, without the zoom.
- Full character shadow: in game, Settings → Graphics → Full.
I can't log in
- Account names and passwords are lowercase English letters and digits only; the 2011 client cannot type anything else.
- Your character name is chosen in game, not on the website.
- New shops or items missing? Start from Play Dark Conquer.bat or get the update file from the download page.

Is the server down?
Check the "Online now" counter on the home page. If players are online, the server is up and the problem is on your side.
My password doesn't work
Use lowercase English letters and digits only, and turn Caps Lock off.
My antivirus says it's a virus
That is CLHook.dll, which connects the client to our server. Add an exception.
